Independence Day, Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Now, while technically that’s nothing to celebrate over this side of the pond, we think that a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then and it seems as good an excuse for a party as any!

Particularly as Independence Day is a prime time for family get togethers where vast amounts of tasty meaty fayre is consumed. As it happens, New Street Butchers has plenty of USA style food for barbecues and picnics, so why not hop on over to stock up for an American themed July 4th celebration?

You will find that lots of the marinates we use are inspired by recipes that originate stateside. Lip-smacking marinated meats include:

  • Memphis Style Sweet Honey & Mustard Pork Ribs
  • Jalapeno & Lime Chicken Butterfies
  • Smoked Baby Racks Ribs (Pork)
  • Southern Style Chicken Thighs

And if you’re getting the BBQ fired up on July 4th, how about these for some smokin’ ideas?

  • 21 Day Dry Aged Rib Eye Steaks
  • Homemade 1/4 Pound Burgers
  • Beef Short Ribs

That is probably enough to fill up a hungry cowboy’s belly, but if you’re still hankering for more, then pop over to the New Street Butchers Deli where you will find Rufus Teague Marinades straight from Kansas City, plus a range of chilli sauces and meat rubs.

Yeehaaa! Happy Fourth of July folks!
